Alexander Borgstein

Alexander uses his broad medical background to analyse and find solutions for complex healthcare questions. He wants to commit himself by helping the healthcare sector to move forward and preparing it for the future.

Alexander studied at University College Utrecht, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science, graduating cum laude. He then obtained his medical degree at the University of Amsterdam. After his medical studies, Alexander started working as a doctor/researcher at the surgery department of the Amsterdam UMC. He obtained his PhD on the surgical treatment of gastric cancer and delivering surgical care safely during the corona pandemic. After obtaining his PhD, Alexander worked as a surgical resident at the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis in Amsterdam for two years.

At SiRM, Alexander uses his experience as a medical doctor and researcher to solve complex issues in the healthcare sector.
